Bullseye, the nation’s favourite darts based general knowledge quiz is back for a second series. Dave, Tony and Bully of course, are all back, convincing punters to stey out of the black and into the red and nudging a speedboat in their general direction.

Dave Spikey, the Phoenix Nights co-writer and star is as excited to be bringing Bullseye, a British tea-time institution, back to our screens. He told us:

"I’m excited, apprehensive and mostly honoured because Bullseye is a national institution. It has that great mix of drama, excitement and suspense infused with a liberal amount of warmth and good humour. It’s an absolute pleasure and a privilege to be involved."

Dave Spikey worked his way into the nation’s psyche as the Bolton club compere in Phoenix Nights, before heading south to be crowned king of random ramblings on Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats.

Dave has had a staggering rise to stardom in the past three years, starting out as an unknown stand-up in the North West. Needless to say, we’re chuffed to have him. But what does original host Jim Bowen think? We asked the great man.

"My time on Bullseye was one of the best times of my life and I’m very pleased to hear that it is coming back for a new audience. I want to wish the production team and the new presenter my blessings."

That’s super, smashing, great.
