The Crystal Maze is one-of-a-kind. Within Europe’s largest custom built set, contestants are led around four themed zones – Aztec, Futuristic, Medieval and Industrial – where they compete in elaborately staged mental and physical challenges in a chance to win crystals. With taxing manoeuvres to coordinate and tricky puzzles to crack under countdown conditions, tactical pressure and physical duress are par the course for the plucky contestants. Come the final round, the crystals accumulated are converted into time spent in The Crystal Dome, where they snatch and grab at prize tickets in a frenzied fan-blown flurry .

Presented by the peerless Richard O’Brien (writer/creator of The Rocky Horror Picture Show), whose quirky behaviour, wacky antics and flamboyant ad-libbing became the atmospheric backbone of this ambitious and unique program, The Crystal Maze was a smash hit in the UK, regularly pulling in six million viewers and carving out unparalleled cult status in the hearts of the nation.
